PlayStation’s beloved Twisted Metal franchise is getting a live-action TV adaptation. As reported by Variety, PlayStation Productions is developing the series and it will be an action-comedy, based on original take by Deadpool writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.
The Twisted Metal show follows a ‘motor-mouthed’ outsider who gets a chance to have a better life if he manages to deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With his car thief partner, he will face off several dangers on the open road, including a clown named Sweet Tooth, who drives an ice cream truck.
Michael Jonathan Smith will write and executive produce the series. Along with Smith, Will Arnett, Marc Forman, and Peter Principato will also serve as executive producers. While talking about the Twisted Metal live-action series, Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions said, “Twisted Metal is one of the most beloved franchises from PlayStation.
