Toy Story Update Coming To Disney Dreamlight Valley This December

Gameloft has confirmed that Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Toy Story update will release across all platforms on December 6. As previously teased by the development team, the second major update introduces fan-favorite characters from the Toy Story series, such as Buzz Lightyear and Woody.

The content update was first teased during the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase back in September, giving players their first look at a new realm set inside Andy’s bedroom. An introduction trailer for the update showcases the two characters, Buzz and Woody, being encountered in Bonnie’s room, a familiar location from Toy Story 3. Players will also shrink down to a smaller size once they enter Bonnie’s room to complete challenges and progress through the story.

Players will explore a new world with Woody and Buzz, as they can also bring their friends to the Valley. As seen in the trailer, Woody and Buzz show special lines and reactions when they encounter a character in the valley. Furthermore, several Toy Story-themed cosmetics, including Woody’s voice box, will be available for players to discover new styles. But It is currently uncertain how much Dreamlight will cost to enter Boonie’s Room. Given the development team has not provided many details about the update, players will learn more about all the new content once it launches next month.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life-sim adventure game that brings characters from the vast Disney and Pixar libraries together. Players will discover the stories of idyllic land through quests and challenges with an aim to live in harmony with valley residents. The game received its first content update a couple of weeks ago, adding Scar from the classic Lion King series. This free update introduces a new battle pass, Star Path, which allows players to earn tokens by completing challenges. Lastly, it adds a photo mode for players to show new avatar posses.

A new roadmap for Disney Dreamlight Valley reveals that more free updates will be released in 2023. The life-sim game was well received from critics and players alike, as its Steam reviews are currently overwhelmingly positive. Disney Dreamlight Valley is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
