The World’s First Warzone 2 Nuke Has Been Achieved

Twitch streamers Stellar, Wagnificent, and OPMarked have officially detonated the world’s first in-game nuke in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

Unlike Warzone 2’s counterpart, Modern Warfare 2, calling in a nuke isn’t as simple as dropping 30 kills in a row. Although, we’re not exactly sure achieving that in a Battle Royale game is “simple” anyway. Instead, a procedure of steps need to be taken by the player, including winning 5 games of Warzone 2 in a row, followed by completing the ‘Champion’s Quest’ contract and following the required steps. Essentially, it’s no easy task, which is why it took 3 days before it was achieved.

The three content creators posted the Warzone 2 nuke detonating to their Twitter accounts and were quickly congratulated by the official Call of Duty Twitter account, as well as Raven Software. In the clip, which can be seen below, the trio were tasked with defending the nuke until the countdown was completed.

In the final seconds of the countdown, a prompt appears on the screen reading “nuclear bomb incoming! Warzone devastation imminent”. The nuke then impacts Al Mazrah and the screen fades to white, a special Warzone victory screen then appears with “champion’s domination” across the screen. It’s quite the spectacle, and we recommend you check out the clip for yourself in the tweet below.

Warzone 2 launched earlier this week, alongside the release of Modern Warfare 2’s very first season. A brand new map, battle pass, weapons, and more were included in the launch of the new season and new Battle Royale experience, but there’s still plenty in store for Call of Duty fans.

Activision recently confirmed that pre-orders for the launch of Warzone Mobile were now available for iOS devices.”Join millions of others in preparing for a world-class Battle Royale experience all in the palm of your hands, featuring the classic Verdansk map and shared Battle Pass and cross-progression across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0″, the official blog post confirmed.
