Developer Fool’s Theory announces the RPG The Thaumaturge has now been delayed to a March release date.
It’s no secret that February 2024 has been jam-packed with major releases, but it looks like The Thaumaturge won’t be one of them. Developer Fool’s Theory has now announced their turn-based RPG will now forgo its February 20th expected launch date. They have once again pushed the game’s release to March 4th instead. In a tweet the studio explained that “February’s busy launch period” was the reason behind the delay. The game is also already “complete” but they have decided to opt for the month of March to avoid the slew of titles coming this month.
This isn’t the first time the studio has delayed the game’s release, as just last November the game’s release date got pushed from December to February. They stated the game needed more “polish” and needed further development time in order to not “compromise” the game’s quality.
With February’s busy launch period, we’ve decided to move the release of the Thaumaturge to March 4th, 2024.
The game is complete, but we want to give it space so it can be enjoyed the way we believe it deserves.

In case you missed it, The Thaumaturge follows an individual who can hone the power of spirits called Wiktor. It’s set in the 20th century in Warsaw Poland where the metropolis is vibrant. Full of busy cityscapes with merchants, soldiers, and townsfolk. However, this extraordinary power carries a dark side and must be wielded with utmost caution.
The game’s narrative turn-based RPG mechanics will combine a supernatural tale with some detective elements as Wiktor is tasked with finding out what happened to his father’s missing grimoire. Whether his power, a gift or curse will help him get closer to the truth only time will tell. Being a Thaumaturge allows players to navigate different situations in several ways.
The Thaumaturge will now be released on March 4th 2024 for PC and will come later to consoles.
