The Successor’s Mission Prerequisites

To unlock The Successor’s Mission party quest, you’ll first need to have Bos return to your party, which will occur once the team decides to head over to the Cleria region. The first party quest for Bos will be ‘Results of Training’, which will only require you to win in battle five times with Bos present in the party.

The Successor’s Mission will then appear in your party quest list, and will require you to execute an Action Order triggered by Bos while in battle 10 times. If you aren’t fully familiar with Action Orders and how they work, this quest might be a bit confusing for you, but we will explain it in simple terms.

How To Complete The Successor’s Mission

If you remember from your initial battle training in the game, an Action Order is an attack that will occur after every current order on screen is completed. These will be the small prompts at the bottom of the screen, which might include ‘Deal physical damage’ or ‘Deal magic damage’, with an image of one of the characters next to it. As you switch between your active characters, they will all have different orders that appear underneath them.

Since The Successor’s Mission will require you to trigger Action Orders by Bos only, this means you’ll have to only complete his orders to prompt his Action Order attack. To do this in the most smooth way possible, it is suggested that you make Bos the leader of your party. This means he will be the main character in your team, and you’ll see his Action Orders appear at the bottom of the screen first.

When you enter battle, these Action Orders won’t appear immediately. Instead, wait a few seconds and do some damage on the opponent and eventually a few Action Orders should appear. Sometimes, you’ll only need to execute one Order, while other times it will be two. For example, if it says underneath Bos that Klaudia needs to deal physical damage, switch over to her and use one of her attacks that deal physical damage. Once she has successfully completed this, Bos will begin his Action Order attack, and you’ll have successfully completed the requirements for the quest once you do this 10 times. If another character prompts their Action Order attack first before Bos can finish his orders, then you’ll have to redo it with new orders to allow him to use his Action Order attack. When you have successfully completed the party quest, you’ll receive the new skill Aggression Level 1 for Bos.
