The Short Message Seemingly Removed from Taiwan Ratings Board Database

Konami announced three new Silent Hill titles last year, finally bringing the beloved horror franchise back into the limelight after years of inactivity, though if rumours are to be believed, there are plenty more Silent Hill games in the works that haven’t yet been officially announced. One of these, Silent Hill: The Short Message, is allegedly a playable teaser for the next mainline game in the series, and was rated last year in both South Korea and Taiwan, further lending credence to leaks about it.

However, there has recently been an interesting development on that front. As pointed out by @AestheticGamer1 on Twitter, Silent Hill: The Short Message was recently removed from the database of the Taiwan Games Rating Board. What its removal signifies remains to be seen, though as @AestheticGamer1 points out, it could mean a number of things, from the game being delayed to it having been cancelled.

Interestingly enough, we could be hearing more news related to Silent Hill coming soon (at least for the games that have been officially announced so far), with a PlayStation Showcase coming on May 24. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
