Star Wars fans are excited about all the new content for the franchise, including the arrival of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Limited Series and a release date for Andor. The Mandalorian is also joining in with a confirmation of the next season announced by Disney. The show’s second season debuted in Oct. 2020, and fans have been eagerly waiting to hear the news about the series. Now that there has been an announcement, you may wonder, when does Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season Three release?
Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date
The Mandalorian and Grogu will be making their return in Feb. 2023 on Disney+. Details about the next installment have yet to be confirmed, but Pedro Pascal will be reprising his role as the Mandalorian. Additionally, the Star Wars Celebration livestream on YouTube has revealed that Katee Sackhoff will return as Bo-Katan Kryze in Season Three, along with others coming back as well. There have also been some rumors of Christopher Lloyd making a guest appearance; the confirmation of this is still up in the air until more official information validates it.

As for what to expect in season 3, we can look back at the events of Season Two’s finale and The Book of Boba Fett’s feature of the Mandalorian and Grogu. Season Two of the series ended off on a high note with a surprising arrival of a Star Wars character and a cliffhanger of what is to come next for the characters. Fortunately, The Book of Boba Fett has given us some answers to what happens to them and showcases a touching reunion.
The upcoming season could be set sometime after these events or possibly in a new time-skip direction.
