Link has a fuzzy memory at the start of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so that might be why he can’t remember any of the dishes he cooks in the game. But that will change with Tears of the Kingdom. This time, Nintendo will store notes in a submenu for Link’s concoctions.
The official Zelda Japan Twitter account highlighted this new quality-of-life upgrade, spotted by Polygon.
The provided example in the tweet above showcases meat and seafood fry. The dish needs a piece of meat and two fish, which then will provide Link with six hearts of recovery. A glaring omission, though, seems to be the lack of just pressing a button to make that meal immediately. It appears as though players will still manually need to put those ingredients together instead of a quicker, automatic method.
Now cooking will just be one of the many awesome things you can do in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Nintendo has been highlighting the creativity possible with new abilities like Ultrahand and Fuse. The former allows players to make flying aircraft for Link to explore Hyrule, for instance.
