The Kingdom Hearts Light-up Keyblades Are Back in Stock

Square Enix announced that the Kingdom Hearts light-up keyblades are back in stock from the Square Enix online e-store and are set to release in Japan on August 24, 2024. There are two keyblade models available, and they both cost 6,380 yen (or approximately $40.84.)

The two Kingdom Hearts light-up keyblades are inspired by the classic Kingdom Key and the Kingdom Key D (or Dark Side) designs, wielded by Sora and King Mickey respectively. As the name suggests, the keyblades include a lightbulb at the end of the blade that projects a keyhole shaped light.

The Kingdom Key model features the classic gold handle with a silver blade, joined by a blue connecting piece. Meanwhile, the Kingdom Key Dark Side version has inverted colors, with the handle being light silver, the blade being a darker shade of gold, and the joining piece colored in red. The light-up keyblades originally released in February 2024, and this new re-release includes improved light sources that project the light with higher intensity than the older models.

The Kingdom Hearts light-up keyblades are now available for pre-order from the Square Enix Japanese online store, and they are expected to release in August 24, 2024. The Kingdom Hearts franchise is heading to PC via Steam on June 13, 2024.
