‘The FRIENDS Experience’ coming to London this summer

‘The FRIENDS Experience’ is coming to London this summer, marking the launch of the show’s first flagship location in the UK.

The experience is inspired by the most globally loved TV series in history and it will be making London its long-term home, beginning this August, in a brand-new, purpose-built waterside location at London’s ExCeL, just in time to celebrate ‘FRIENDS’ 30^th anniversary. 

Created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, Original X Productions, and Warner Bros. Television Group, and operated by London-based The Luna Entertainment Group, ‘The FRIENDS Experience: The One in London’ will bring fans one step closer to their favourite show and characters with full-scale re-created sets, iconic backdrops, costumes, and an array of props and memorabilia. 

Featuring a variety of nostalgia-packed, interactive set re-creations, ‘The FRIENDS Experience: The One in London’ will provide guests with plenty of opportunities to explore the show’s history and re-create some of their favourite scenes, such as posing behind Rachel and Monica’s famous purple door, kicking back in Chandler and Joey’s recliners and, of course, relaxing on the legendary orange couch. There will also be fun behind-the-scenes aspects for guests to explore, including insight from the show’s creators and storytelling from the costume designer.

But wait, there’s more! This truly unique experience promises to transport Londoners to the Big Apple with the all-new ‘FRIENDS’ Station, inspired by the show’s New York City setting and subway stations. Here, guests can enjoy themed food and beverages and immerse themselves in even more classic ‘FRIENDS’ moments and memorable photo opportunities. The flagship will also feature exclusive activations inspired by the beloved London episodes, ‘The One with Ross’ Wedding Parts 1 & 2’, from the series’ fourth season, which will allow visitors to step inside a recreated wedding scene at the semi-demolished church and engage with a 3D interpretation of Joey’s London map.

And of course, no visit to ‘The FRIENDS Experience’ would be complete without stopping off at the show’s famed coffeehouse, Central Perk, which has been fully re-created in the London experience. Alongside every iconic set re-creation and photo opportunity, guests will also have the chance to visit a themed gift shop boasting exclusive merchandise, only to be found at ‘The FRIENDS Experience: The One in London’.

To prepare for ‘The FRIENDS Experience’, fans can own the complete series on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD. ‘FRIENDS: The Complete Series’ will also release in 4K Ultra HD in the UK on 23rd September 2024.
