The Elder Scrolls Online is celebrating, and Bethesda Softworks has kicked off its tenth-anniversary celebration. Since its servers started on April 4, 2014, the MMO has grown a large community of players worldwide with its vast universe full of adventures. Over a decade, it has received updates and expansions regularly, arrived on consoles establishing itself as one of the best in its genre of all time.

To commemorate its 10 years, Bethesda has announced a special event that will span 15 months and, according to the company, will “focus on you (our players), the game, and the development team.” The launch of the Gold Road prologue mission will be the centerpiece of this celebration. This new chapter will arrive on June 3 for PC and on June 18 for Xbox and PlayStation. However, players won’t have to wait until then to dive into the action, as they now have free access to Gold Road starting today.

As shown in the brief trailer above, the prologue is already available and invites players to join the agent of Hermaeus Mora, Leramil the Wise, in the search for the mysterious Torvesard, who is getting closer to finding his lady, the forgotten princess Ithelia. This new adventure will take players to explore the Colovian region of the Western Forest, uncovering ancient secrets that could alter the destiny of Tamriel and Oblivion.

Furthermore, the tenth-anniversary celebration will also include a series of in-person events and content, updates for the housing system and PvP (Player versus Player) mode, as well as online and social media activities to watch out for.

Whether you are players of the MMORPG based on Bethesda’s legendary franchise or not, the tenth anniversary is an occasion to celebrate the rich history and exciting world of this video game. With new adventures on the horizon and an active and loyal player community, the future of TESO remains as present as its past. Many come, but very few stay.
