Wagner mentioned that they already have many resources from the first season, such as sets and visual effects, which will allow them to progress quickly in the production of the second season. This prompt availability of materials is a promising sign for fans eager for more content.

The interview also revisited previous comments from the showrunners about the number of seasons they would like to produce. Although they acknowledge it is not entirely in their hands, the success of the first season makes the idea of reaching five seasons increasingly attractive.

Robertson-Dworet commented that they are grateful for the opportunity to include on screen elements that did not fit into the first season, increasing the anticipation for future installments.

“I hesitate to give a date that will be taken out of context and linger on Reddit for about a year, but we are going as fast as possible and have a lot of heavy lifting from season 1 already done,” Wagner responded. “We have sets, resources, and visual effects. We are getting up and running this season. We are going to step on the gas to get the second season out as quickly as humanly possible.”

New Location

The end of the first season revealed that Hank MacLean escaped to New Vegas and his daughter joined the Ghoul to seek answers about their relatives. Todd Howard, director of Bethesda Game Studios, confirmed that New Vegas will be part of the second season, ensuring they will keep the key events and content of the game. The production also moved from New York to California, which, according to the showrunners, will allow for fewer climate concerns and take advantage of California’s desert landscapes.

Additionally, the showrunners expressed their surprise at the popularity of the series. Wagner commented that they created the show primarily for themselves, without knowing how it would be received.
