The official launch trailer for The Callisto Protocol has arrived with intense action sequences. The launch trailer of the highly-anticipated survival-horror title offers a glimpse into the utter chaos on Jupiter’s moon, Callisto. The Callisto Protocol official trailer comes with a series of impressive cutscenes, too, which were apparently achieved with the assistance of a PlayStation studio during the game’s development. The trailer revolves around the protagonist Jacob Lee, a crashed cargo pilot, and his struggle against the many perils of Callisto. Portrayed by Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel, Lee finds himself in extremely dire situations and tries to stay alive in the wake of a mysterious outbreak on the dead moon. His harrowing journey sees Jacob make unlikely allies, fight grotesque beasts, and discover dark mysteries that loom around the chaotic outbreak. It is also possible to see another familiar face in the official launch trailer. The upcoming survival-horror game features The Boys’ actress Karen Fukuhara’s character as Dani Nakamura.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Callisto Protocol is one of the most anticipated titles of the year as it will bring back the long-awaited sci-fi survival horror that players have missed since the Dead Space trilogy concluded. The game is being developed by Striking Distance Studios, led by Dead Space co-creator Glen Schofield. It’s safe to say, then, that The Callisto Protocol has enough ammo in its arsenal to amp up expectations, especially for the fans of the genre. It is also, ironically, rivaled by a revitalized version of its spiritual predecessor, Dead Space Remake, though the latter won’t release until January 27th, 2023.

The developer has been sharing a wide variety of content for The Callisto Protocol. The studio reaffirmed the release date a month ago and announced that it has gone gold, too. It is also known that the team at Striking Distance has been “crunching” to make sure that the game is ready for the December release. Striking Distance has also shared that the world of The Callisto Protocol will expand after the game’s initial launch with the studio planning at least four years of support with future expansions and DLCs.
