Tekken 8 director Katsuhiro Harada has taken to Twitter to confirm that the upcoming fighting game will not include anti-piracy software Denuvo. The director stated that the development team will not be bringing the DRM to the game.

Questions about the PC release of Tekken 8 potentially being saddled with Denuvo’s anti-piracy software first came about thanks to it being mentioned in the game’s End User License Agreement that is available to read through on the title’s Steam store page.

Harada clarified that the EULA on the Tekken 8 Steam page is likely a copy-paste of Tekken 7‘s EULA. The director also went on to tell players to “stop your tedious allergic reactions to every single thing & sit quietly (sit the hell down).”

Tekken 8 doesn’t yet have a release date on any platform, but the game has been seeing the release of quite a few trailers, with the most recent ones showcasing Raven and new character Azucena as part of the game’s roster.
