Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)? Answered

Gerudo Town is a central location in Tears of the Kingdom. You’ll eventually come here as a part of the Regional Phenomena questline where you help Riju save the area from an invasion of Gibdos. Unfortunately, at this point in the game, Gerudo Town has seen better days. The surrounding sandstorm has made it, so its people have to live beneath the city for shelter. And many of the town’s buildings have been damaged. It’s only fair to ask at this point if fixing Gerudo Town is possible in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: Can you fix Gerudo Town

The short answer to whether you can fix Gerudo Town is yes. But this is more of a passive process than fixing up Lurelin Village, which strangely seems to be going through a very similar problem. Instead, all you need to do to get Gerudo Town fixed up is finish the area’s Regional Phenomena quest. This will cause the sandstorm to disappear and allow the townspeople to move back in. And then it’ll be as it was in Breath of the Wild. Additionally, Link can come and go as he pleases.

Once Gerudo Town is fixed up, you have plenty of reasons to come back here. There are several stores here that sell mushrooms, ingredients for meals, and elixirs, and of course, there’s the Inn. But the best store in Gerudo Town is the Jewelry Shop located on the northwestern side of the area. This store sells various circlets and earrings that each have unique effects. For example, the Diamond Circle increases Link’s attack power, while the Opal Earrings boost Link’s swimming speed. These don’t come cheap though so make sure you bring plenty of Rupees along with you.

Gerudo Town is a valuable location in Tears of the Kingdom. And it’s fortunate that Link doesn’t need to do much to get it back in shape. Be sure to come back here often to check out the town’s unique offerings.
