Tears Of Kingdom Switch Model

Nintendo unveiled a special edition Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom switch model during the latest Direct. The event primarily focused on showcasing 10 minutes of new gameplay footage of the game. The Zelda-themed OLED model will be available to purchase on April 28, two weeks before the game’s initial launch on May 12.

This special edition Zelda model decorated with rune-like patterns will cost $359.99. Nintendo also announced that it won’t be bundle shipping with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, meaning you must purchase the game separately on its launch. As seen in the footage, this Zelda-themed model is colored in white and gold, with Link’s green outfit color and circle motifs creating a blend unique to Joy-Con controllers. Decorations also include an image and a design that appear in the game, including the familiar Hylian Crest from the Zelda series on the front of the dock.

It also comes with a special carrying case and switch controller, both colored in black and white. Decorated with the same circle motifs and image seen in the console version, the two accessories will be available to purchase separately on May 12. In case you want to complete the Zelda collection, the carrying case will cost $24.99 while the themed pro controller will have a $74.99 price tag.

When it comes to the technical upgrades made to the Switch Pro controller, it features the gyro-motion capture button, amiibo support, and HD-rumble in the Joy-Con controllers. The OLED model, on the other hand, has a larger screen and more built-in storage space.

Nintendo has also released a 10-minute gameplay footage of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom led by producer Eiji Aonuma, which details Link’s new abilities and the game’s open world. The developer assured players that battles will differ from the previous game as some enemies wield fused weapons. The lengthy trailer also showcases Link discovering Hyrule while using new traversal mechanics.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the first Switch-exclusive game with a $70 price tag. The renowned producer Eiji Aonuma previously teased that the upcoming game will bring some gameplay features that will alter Hyrule in some way, which has fans excited about the open world.
