Takt op. Symphony, the highly anticipated classical music-based RPG, is set to host its next phase of beta testing soon

Bandai Namco’s highly anticipated mobile RPG Takt Op. Symphony has announced that it will soon hold its second beta test running from April 25th to May 2nd, this one coming with a hefty suite of improvements based on feedback from the previous testing phase alongside some new content to check out.

Takt Op. Symphony is the new project from developer DeNA and Bandai Namco, centring around the multimedia project of the same name. First coming to the forefront as an anime series, the project is now seeking to branch out into the mobile game sphere with this new RPG. The media-spanning series focuses on classical music mixed with high fantasy aesthetics, making for a gorgeous and unique setting of a backdrop.

Symphony specifically focuses on being a sort of sequel to the anime series, set 20 years after the ending of it. Set within a universe where music is no longer able to be enjoyed due to it attracting horrific creatures known as D2s, an organization was created to combat these monsters and fight them utilising instrumental combat and musical scores.

As for what you can expect from the gameplay side of things, be prepared to enjoy a fully rendered 3D world both in and out of combat. The out-of-combat portions see you traversing the world as a chibi realisation of the main character, interacting with other NPCs and exploring various parts of the world.

The in-combat portions, on the other hand, are more akin to something along the lines of the upcoming Honkai Star Rail or NiER Reincarnation, with a traditional turn-based format that is also fully rendered in 3D.

As you collect various characters, each with their own unique abilities and aesthetics, you’ll traverse the world and attempt to stave off the forces of evil so the masses can enjoy the beauty of music once again.

If that sounds excellent to you, you’ll be able to sign up through the Google Play Store in the days to come. Unfortunately, we iOS players won’t be able to participate, but in the meantime, we can check out the official website for a deeper look at this gorgeous new gacha game.
