Summer Game Fest 2024: All Games & Announcements
LEGO Horizon Adventures
The first surprise of the event was LEGO Horizon, a game that, despite being leaked, remains surprising: a spin-off of Guerrilla’s Horizon Zero Dawn series, featuring an isometric action-adventure with cooperative online play and construction elements.
A major surprise: Sony will release it on PS5, PC, and… Nintendo Switch. It will be released simultaneously on all platforms except Xbox in late 2024. It is developed by Studio Gobo.
No More Room in Hell 2
The creators of Chivalry II also appeared on stage to present their new game: a cooperative horror game inviting players to team up to defeat different zombie creatures in a format very similar to Left 4 Dead. It will arrive in early access this year.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions
Finally, the Quidditch game is revealed, an online game to enjoy the great sport of Harry Potter. Twenty years after the original Quidditch game, we can enjoy exciting matches on flying brooms. Warner Bros Games has confirmed that Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be released on September 3rd with a basic edition but with a great incentive on PlayStation.
PS Plus subscribers can enjoy it at no additional cost from day one, both on PS5 and PS4. Players can choose their favorite position, whether Beater, Chaser, Keeper, or Seeker, and perform these roles to score the most points for their team. The game features various stadiums and gameplay environments, as well as notable characters from the Four Houses of Hogwarts: Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw.
Cuffbust
Looking for a new game that could replace the great phenomena like Among Us or Fall Guys? Cuffbust seems to have this goal. This 20-player online game, starring colorful koalas, looks like the next viral game among friends and large communities. Twenty koalas will have to escape from a prison, cooperate, and destroy everything.
Star Wars Outlaws
Ubisoft’s offering didn’t miss one of the big summer events either. Although more details about Star Wars Outlaws will be revealed at Ubisoft Forward, Summer Game Fest showcased a new and vibrant trailer for this entry in the space universe.
Neva
Next up is a new game from Nomada Studio, the creators of the award-winning GRIS, an artistic 2D platform adventure with more combat and platforming. Neva will be available late this year on PC, PS5, Xbox, and Switch.
Civilization VII
The seventh installment of Civilization is now official, allowing strategy fans to enjoy one of the genre’s great franchises once more with its new title that promises to be legendary.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII aims to be a revolutionary new chapter, allowing players to build the greatest empire the world has ever known, developed once again by the legendary Firaxis Games team, also known for XCOM.
It is expected to release in 2025 with more details coming this summer.
Black Myth: Wukong
The highly anticipated game based on Journey to the West confirms its launch on August 20th on PS5 and Steam. Although not all news is good, as its release on Xbox has been delayed to ensure quality, with the Microsoft console version coming later. Special editions are also announced.
Metaphor RE:Fantazio
The creators of Metaphor Re:Fantazio, the new JRPG from the creators of Persona, take the stage (with a translator) to talk about the “archetypes” or transformations in this action game, more than 40 different ones, which ensure variety.
Metaphor Re:Fantazio comes out on October 11 on PC and Xbox Series X, a great Japanese exclusive that Microsoft has secured.
Batman Arkham Shadows
The Dark Knight is one of the most beloved superheroes in the world, so a new installment always grabs the attention of Batman fans.
This time, Batman: Arkham Shadow presented a new teaser, introducing a new game for Meta Quest 3 that has piqued the interest of many attendees. Although the existence of this installment has been known for some time, today offered a deeper look at what it brings.

Street Fighter 6 Fatal Fury DLC

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO
The release date for Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO was one of the most anticipated announcements of this Summer Game Fest main event, and it did not disappoint. In a new trailer that introduced a new mechanic allowing changes to some events in Dragon Ball Z, it was revealed that the game will be available on October 11th across all platforms.
Delta Force Hawk Ops
One of the upcoming online cooperative games aiming to compete with other major titles in the genre. At its Summer Game Fest presence, a new trailer showcasing its action-packed gameplay and stunning graphics was revealed.
This game from the Chinese studio specializing in shooters, Timi Studios, will be released on PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Fatal Fury City of the Wolves
In addition to its partnership with Street Fighter 6, SNK is developing a new Fatal Fury game. At today’s Summer Game Fest, the developers showed a preview of Fatal Fury: City of Wolves, hinting that this installment will be a must-have for all fighting game fans and introduced two new characters. It is set to release in early 2025 for all current-generation consoles except for the Nintendo Switch.
Mecha Break
If you love mechas, you’ll be thrilled to know that Mecha Breaker was showcased at the Summer Game Fest. Through a new trailer, it was confirmed that the title will be released as a free-to-play game, though the exact release date is still unknown.
Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind
The next announcement came from Digital Eclipse with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a new beat ’em up game that will gather up to 5 players to take on the roles of the legendary Power Rangers to face all sorts of dangers.
The Power Rangers return with an action game that will delight nostalgic fans, similar to how the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game did.
Deer & Boy
Experience a coming-of-age story in this cinematic platformer created by Lifeline Games. In Deer & Boy, you’ll accompany a boy fleeing after a traumatic event and befriending a fawn. Dodge terrifying enemies and solve environmental puzzles as the fawn grows and the characters’ roles change.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Warhorse Studios also attended the Summer Game Fest 2024 with the second trailer for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, a game revealed in April 2024 that offers an adventure featuring Henry, who explores a beautiful yet unforgiving world amidst the chaos of a 15th-century Bohemian civil war.
The sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be an open-world adventure where players must choose a distinct path: save the world or punish it for its sins.
Slitterhead
The first gameplay trailer for Keiichiro Toyama’s game, creator of Silent Hill, was shown at his new indie studio, Bokeh. It’s an action game where you fight against horrifying mutated creatures with ghostly powers, set to release on October 8th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, and PC.
Killer Bean
This first- and third-person roguelite action game parodies GTA or Max Payne, procedurally generating an entirely new campaign each time you play, including locations, enemies, and bosses. This is ambitious enough on its own, even before considering the multitude of gameplay features it offers. It will be available in early access this summer.
CAIRN
Cairn, created by The Game Bakers, known for Furi and Haven, presents an interesting mechanic: every time you fall, without dying, you will see highlighted the previous routes you took. According to The Game Bakers, the paths are completely free, meaning you won’t be limited to following specific routes.
The simulation is very realistic: you have to be careful where you place your hands and feet, with simple yet very sensitive controls to help Aava reach the stage. For now, it’s only available on Steam.
Wanderstop
Annapurna joins the Summer Game Fest with Wanderstop, a game developed by the creators of The Stanley Parable, where you assume the role of a farmer in a fantasy world.
The trailer suggests that behind the vibrant colors lies something darker. Wanderstop will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC.
Unknown 9 Awakening
The story trailer for Unknown 9 Awakening reveals an exciting adventure starring a woman capable of traveling to a parallel dimension and possessing other bodies. In her quest for powerful hidden knowledge, she will learn to master her connection with the Reverse and channel her powers into our world… But such power does not go unnoticed.

Enotria: The Last Song
Enotria: The Last Song, an action RPG Souls-like, is set in a sunny world inspired by Italian folklore, where the brightest sun casts the darkest shadow. Use unique masks that change your role and alter reality with the power of Ardore to uncover the secrets of Enotria. The release date is set for September 19th.
The First Descendant
Speaking of dates, the Summer Game Fest also revealed the release date for The First Descendant, which will be available on July 2, 2024, as presented in its new trailer showcasing more of its action.
Innersloth, Publisher of Among Us
Innersloth, the creators of Among Us and regulars at the Game Awards, return to the stage to talk about Outersloth, a new label to finance and publish indie games.

This title will offer new content featuring Shadow as the protagonist. Sonic x Shadow Generations will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 24th.
Dune: Awakening
The new cinematic trailer for Dune: Awakening was shown at the Summer Game Fest, with a full gameplay reveal planned for Gamescom this August. A single moment changes everything in an Arrakis torn by an Assassin War.

Battle Aces
Lightspeed Studios, a new studio, presents a new RTS game, a real-time strategy game aiming to achieve the same impact as WoW or Hearthstone did in their respective genres. Choose from over 50 different units and lead high-tech drones controlled by mercenary commanders known as Battle Aces in large-scale explosive battles.
The closed beta for Battle Aces will begin later this month, and registration is now open.
Alan Wake 2: Night Springs
One of the big names at this subdued edition of the Summer Game Fest 2024. Alan Wake II releases its first DLC, Night Springs, today, June 8th, expanding the story in a special way. Physical editions will also be available for the Deluxe and Collector’s versions.
New World Aeternum
New World: Aeternum, the console version of Amazon Games’ well-known game, will be released on October 15th, as announced with a new trailer at the Summer Game Fest.
Dark and Darker
Starting today, you can play this Korean first-person PvPvE action game for free on Steam and the Epic Games Store, battling against skeletons. Join your friends and use your bravery, wit, and cunning to discover mythical treasures, defeat eerie monsters, while staying ahead of other ruthless treasure hunters.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, one of Capcom’s upcoming hits, used its presence at the Summer Game Fest to announce its release date: July 19th. Therefore, all players eager to experience this new action title can do so in just over a month.

One of the most interesting skateboarding games, although not much information was offered during its reappearance at the Summer Game Fest, it was reaffirmed that a console playtest will be held in the fall.
Palworld
New Pals. New raid. New building methods. Palworld arrived at the Summer Game Fest to announce one of its biggest updates, aiming to revolutionize the title and continue attracting players. This update, named Sakurajima, will be available on June 27th.
Valorant
Riot Games confirmed that Valorant will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X this year, with a PS5 beta in July. This shooter from the creators of League of Legends is one of the most popular eSports in the world and will now be playable on consoles.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Ryozo Tsujimoto, producer of Monster Hunter, returned to the stage with a new gameplay trailer featuring monster combat, following the trailer seen at the recent State of Play. Additionally, the game will feature crossplay across all platforms. Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2025. Expect a new trailer in August at Gamescom, with playable demos at these events.
Phantom Blade Zero
The event closed with Phantom Blade Zero, a PS5 exclusive. This new trailer provided an exclusive look at the latest developments, showcasing high-speed combat and multiple weapons, among other gameplay elements. Additionally, a demo was revealed.
