In an interview with GNN, No More Heroes creator Goichi “Suda51” Suda claimed that if fans really want to see protagonist Travis Touchdown in another game, the developer team may consider granting their wishes, meaning No More Heroes 4 could happen in the future.

The director answered questions about No More Heroes 3, stating Travis Touchdown might make a comeback if fans show their passion. “Yes, that’s right, Heroes No More 3 is Travis’ last battle. Nobody could say what’s going to happen 10 years from now, and I can’t say either. If there’s a big fan outcry, Travis might be back. Just like Tom Cruise came back as Maverick”(translations via VGC). Suda51 has also stated that the developer team has plans for their next project, so fans will likely hear more about it soon.

All in all, if fans would be loud enough to convince Grasshopper Manufacture to start developing a new No More Heroes game, the series’ protagonist might return in some manner. Fans shouldn’t expect No More Heroes 4 anytime soon, though, as it has only been one year since No More Heroes 3 hit the shelves. Given that there is currently no sign that No More Heroes 4 is being developed, it might take years before we see Travis once more.

Suda also would like to see all No More Heroes games in one collection, making it easier to market and reach as many players as possible. Targeting current-gen consoles, he said the collection could happen if publisher Marvelous works on it.

Initially launched on Nintendo Switch back in 2021, No More Heroes 3 will blast its way onto PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store on October 11, followed by Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on October 14. In our No More Heroes 3 review, we said, “It rarely feels stale and keeps players coming back for more with the over-the-top story that they have come to expect from the series. Fans were a little worried after the lacklustre spinoff, but No More Heroes 3 brings the series back to form in arguably the best outing to date.”
