Bethesda says it will be releasing regular updates for Starfield with a view to adding several quality-of-life improvements and community-requested features (including support for DLSS), but before that, the developer has pushed out a smaller hotfix that addresses some more critical bugs in the game.
The hotfix is a fairly small update, but if there are certain quests in the sci-fi RPG that you’ve faced progress-blocking bugs in, you’ll be glad for its arrival. Specifically, the update addresses bugs that were preventing players from making progress in the quests All That Money Can Buy and Shadows in Neon, as well as a bug that would prevent the quest Into the Unknown from appearing after completing the game.
Meanwhile, the update also brings “various” stability and performance improvements that, according to Bethesda, will result in fewer crashes and improved frame rates, as well as improved stability for installations for those on Xbox. You can check out the update notes below.
Starfield is available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. With over 6 million player, it’s Bethesda’s biggest launch ever. Read our review of the game through here, where we awarded it a score of 10/10.
