overdraw perk in skyrim

Overdraw is the very first perk that any player looking to focus on archery will obtain. This perk has five different levels that a player can put a skill point into, though obviously, a player will already have one point into this perk. On the first level, Overdraw will give bows an extra 20% more damage. This is already a substantial upgrade, as it allows beginning players in Skyrim to effectively use bows to start off in the unforgiving game.

The second level gives a player 40% more damage dealt by bows. The third level goes up to 60%, the fourth to 80%, and finally the fifth level allows players to deal twice the amount of damage that a bow would initially do. Because of the increasing damage, it’s essential for any archer within Skyrim to effectively use this perk to keep up with the evolving threats that they shall encounter throughout Skyrim.

4/5 Bullseye

bullseye perk in skyrim

Bullseye can only be obtained once a player has leveled up their archery skill all the way to 100, which is the maximum level. This perk only has one level and allows the player to have a 15% chance to paralyze an enemy for a few seconds with a bow. This perk can prove incredibly useful when dealing with enemies that like to rush up on the player; most of the enemies in Skyrim do this, in fact.

It’s also just a great advantage to have against any sort of enemy so that the player may get a few more arrows in while their enemy is paralyzed on the ground. Players using bows as their primary, or only, weapon in Skyrim should definitely look to acquire this perk as soon as they can.

3/5 Eagle Eye

Eagle Eye is an archery perk that a player can unlock once they’ve reached level 30 within the archery skill. Eagle Eye allows the player to zoom in while aiming a bow by holding down their block button. This perk has only one level, but is practically essential for archers.

This perk also helps out when the player is looking to take out enemies from afar, or from high advantage points. This perk is also great with any stealthy players that like to take out enemies without being seen, as they can eliminate them from hidden spots that may be further away.

2/5 Ranger

ranger perk in skyrim

The Ranger perk is obtainable by any player who has reached an archery level of 60, and has acquired the Hunter’s Discipline perk. The Ranger perk gives the player a boost to their movement speed while they are moving around with their bow drawn.

This is great for players that primarily use bows as their choice of weapon. The Ranger perk helps players keep distance on their enemies who may be attempting to slash at them by physical means, and in general, can be a great supportive perk to simply move quicker throughout Skyrim’s sprawling world. For any archer, this perk is needed to keep away, or keep up, with the creatures of Skyrim.

1/5 Steady Hand

The Steady Hand perk is easily the best perk for archers in the game. One of the most difficult parts of archery within Skyrim is simply being able to hit your opponent, especially when they’re moving. Because of this, the Steady Hand perk, which players can unlock at an archery level of 40, can provide an incredible hand when it comes to shooting arrows at enemies. Steady Hand allows the player to slow down time when zooming in with their bow.

This makes it much easier for an archer to hit their target, especially when the trials of Skyrim prove overwhelming. For an archer, being overwhelmed will happen countless times. Steady Hand also has a second level that players can upgrade to when the player is at an archery level of 60. This causes the time-slowing effect to go up to 50%, making time half as fast as it would normally be. It’s good to note that this perk will use up stamina, so for player’s relying on this perk, it’s a good idea to make sure that they have an efficient amount of points put into their stamina meter.
