Skullgirls Mobile 2024 Roadmap Revealed With New Origin Stories, Guest Stars, Game Modes, and More Planned – TouchArcade

The last major update saw Marie joining Hidden Variable’s Skullgirls Mobile (Free) on iOS and Android. Today, a new blog post went up detailing the 2024 roadmap, and also what the team accomplished last year. If you’ve not kept up with the game, Skullgirls Mobile has been getting tons of new content through regular updates over the years, and it looks like 2024 will be huge for the game. The roadmap also confirms that the teams are intending to support both Skullgirls Mobile and Skullgirls for years to come. The Skullgirls Mobile 2024 update roadmap available here reveals a set of content coming soon, some in development right now, and a set currently in concept. In-game art collectibles, fighter tuning pass, backstage pass content, and prize fight streak pity all coming soon. Guest Stars, in development, are brand-new characters that can be assigned to any fighter. The team is using this concept to try and bring them in much faster than full characters into the game. The roster for Guest Stars will be revealed soon with Minette announced today.

The official blog post linked above goes into details for the main menu redesign planned, fight replay system coming, and also things like in-game reference resources coming. I’m excited to see where things go for both Skullgirls Mobile and Skullgirls. You can currently grab Skullgirls Mobile on iOS and Android right now for free. Skullgirls 2nd Encore is available on PC and all consoles including Xbox, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. I included Skullgirls 2nd Encore in my feature on the best fighting games to play on both Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch in 2024. What do you think of the 2024 roadmap for Skullgirls Mobile and do you play it regularly?
