Silent Hill: Ascension opens pre-registrations as release date nears

Genvid Entertainment and Konami Digital Entertainment have just announced that their highly anticipated project, Silent Hill: Ascension, has just opened pre-registration. The game is set to launch later this month on Android, iOS, and PC. It’s an interesting take on the franchise as Ascension puts players in the driving seat as they decide what’s canon and what’s not.

Silent Hill: Ascension is an interactive streaming series which progresses based on decisions made by the community. It follows the story of multiple protagonists from around the world, who’ve been tormented by various Silent Hill monsters. These nefarious creatures lurk in the dark and pose a threat to everyone. Rampant murderous sprees and suppressed fears have thrown towns into complete chaos.

The game features an extremely immersive world with hyper-detailed characters and monsters that are surely going to leave you with nightmares. The eerie ambience, psychological dread, and complex, evolving cast all return to give players the perfect Silent Hill experience. New stories go live daily, and each day will be different based on the choices selected by the players and the rest of the audience.

For days that get missed, a catch-up on-demand feature will be available as well. Since the title has been designed as a series, expect high-fidelity visuals that feel like you’re streaming an actual show. The overall audio and soundtrack will be equally terrifying because horror games are incomplete without them.

The game will release on October 31st at 9:00 pm ET and will be free-to-play with certain in-app purchases. Visit the official website for more information.
