The new replay editor will allow players to change movement type, focus distance, dilation speed, and more.
Developer SloClap has confirmed Sifu will receive another free update before the end of the year, featuring a replay editor that allows players to capture and edit their gameplay. A short trailer details how players can create their cinematic shots, showcasing which settings they will be able to change thanks to the new feature.
Players will be able to change their gameplay with the replay editor, as well as create cinematic clips by switching camera angles. The upcoming mode allows players to live their best Sifu moments once again with a different nature of action. Players will be able to add effects to their clips to create their own martial art sequences. Make sure to check out the camera focus inputs in the trailer below.
As seen in the trailer, the replay editor allows players to change the focus mode, movement type, focus distance, and aperture for a brand-new action sequence. Furthermore, they can switch dilation speed, which shows how much slower/faster should the playback speed be. There will also be a cataloge of effects that players can add to their clips in the replay editor, however, the trailer does not showcase them specifically.
The free update will also add new character skins, which will be revealed at a later date according to SloClap. Sifu received a content update back in August, adding a new scoring system that rewards the player to master every aspect of the game. This new scoring system offers a precise evaluation of the players’ performance. Besides that, the update introduced new cheaters and modifiers, allowing players to obtain currency by completing goals.
Sifu has been nominated for the Best Fighting Game category at the Game Awards 2022, which will be held on December 9.
