Showdown Update 1.12 Adds New Contract, Weapons, And More

0

Hunt: Showdown received a brand new update earlier today, bringing the game to version 1.12 with a new tutorial mode that will help new players to learn the basics of the game deeply as soon as possible.

Also included in the game’s latest patch is a new specific ‘Night Time of Day’ contract that will be available as of today through a dedicated matchmaking system. Players will be able to choose between the ordinary random contract and the new Wildcard contract. The persistence of this new contract depends on the players’ feedback.

Moreover, the new update brings an improvement to the post-death screen, where players will receive more information than before on all the inbound and outbound damage that occurred in the final 90 seconds of their in-game life. Previously, the game used to showcase the shots you have received from other players.

Two new questlines will also be available with today’s update, but they will be running for the duration of a month each, without overlapping. This means you will only have access to one of the questlines at the moment, with the next one arriving in a month. Completing the tasks for the new questlines offers valuable rewards such as new weapon variants and legendary equipment. The first questline is The Ward of the Reptilian.

In the case of balance changes, Crytek fixed the left-side-peek advantage in the game. So, you will no longer have a better visual on targets when peeking from the left side of a cover rather its right side. Also, the developers have made some tweaks to a number of traits that will be applied to your hunter only when you are going for a solo run in the bayou.

When it comes to weapons, Crytek introduced two new variants for Winfield M1876 Centennial as well as two variants for Springfield M1892. Each new variant comes with three ammo types. While Basic and FMJ ammo types will be available for all new weapons, the Winfield M1876 Centennial variants will receive Poison ammo type, while Springfield M1892 variants will get Incendiary.

Last but not least, the new update brings lootable saddles, which is a new source of loot for the hunters on the map. Other than that, you can expect some bug fixes and many UI improvements. You can check out the full list of patch notes via this link.
