The fashionable avant-garde among the pocket monsters is in demand in Pokémon GO this week, because the annual accompanying event for Fashion Week is coming up. In addition, the GO Battle League is really heating up with the formats of the heaviest weight class.

Find out what’s coming up in Pokémon GO in the week from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2, 2022, here in the weekly preview.

Fashion Week: Event Start

Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, starting at 10 a.m. local time

The Fashion Week 2022 event will continue until Oct. 3, 2022, at 8 p.m. local time. Two debuts (Mareanie and Toxapex), a brand new Shiny version (Furfrou), and four snazzy costume variations of existing Pokémon are in store for Fashion Week. You can find all the detailed content in this overview.

Spotlight Hour: Minccino

Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time

The final September 2022 Spotlight Hour centers around Minccino, which can be found in the rare Shiny version during the occasion. While the cute creature is a thematically fitting star for Fashion Week, it’s not exactly a useful Pokémon for your lineup overall.

As a bonus to the event, double candy for transferring Pokémon to Professor Willow awaits you.

Raid Hour: Yveltal

Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time

The Ultra Beasts Kartana and Celesteela will disappear from the game as early as Tuesday. The Ultra Gates will close at 10 a.m. local time for the start of Fashion Week, and Yveltal will take over the fifth-level raids as a boss instead. This herald of devastation appears in the Shiny version in Pokémon GO for the first time during this stint and officially kicks off the Spooky Season around Halloween. As usual, it will appear at all gyms during the Raid Hour.

GO Battle League: Master League and Master League Premier Classic

Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, starting at 1 p.m PDT

The next rotation in Season 12 of the GO Battle League is coming up: Ultra League and Ultra League Premier Classic are saying goodbye. Replacing the two formats are their counterparts from the highest weight class Pokémon GO has to offer, Master League and Master League Premier Classic.

In the Master League, there are no limits on the competition points (CP) of competing monsters, and the same is true in the Premier Classic variant. However, you are not allowed to field Legendary, Mythical, or XL Candy upgraded Pokémon here.

Both leagues will remain active for one week. During this time period, you will receive three times as much stardust for victories in the GO Battle League as usual.

GO Battle Day: Guzma

Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time

Speaking of stardust bonuses: On GO Battle Day, there’s even quadruple the reward for victories – and no, sadly it doesn’t stack with the other bonus. Up to 20 battle sets are possible in the given time period, so you may fight a maximum of 100 duels instead of the usual 25.

During GO Battle Day, there’s a limited research that earns you experience points, an Elite Charge TM, Rare Candy, and avatar items – namely Guzma’s watch and bracelet. For the uninitiated: Guzma is a character from Pokémon Moon. You can see his clothing style in the picture above.
