Season 12 for Sea of Thieves has brought with it new tools and weapons, including Throwing Knives.
Sea of Thieves player NessieDoes on X shared their experience with a bug involving the new Throwing Knives.
The video shows them being able to spam an endless amount of Throwing Knives with incredible speed, and with it, they toppled an Ashen Lord in 43 seconds.
This naturally, is not an intended feature. Players are only supposed to launch five Throwing Knives before needing to restock, or pick up more from the environment.
I’m sure this bug will get patched, but until then, you’re probably wondering whether you can replicate this for yourself, right?
NessieDoes further elaborated that this bug has a random chance of occuring when picking up a Throwing Knife off the ground whilst having two other weapons equipped.
When you do this in game, you’re presented with an opportunity to throw back a Throwing Knife to another enemy when they miss the mark. However, it now has a slim chance of providing you with unlimited ammunition.
This allows you to spam the attack button quickly to launch far more Throwing Knives than you should.
I’ve tried desperately to replicate this bug, and only got as far as four Throwing Knives in one go before it stopped. Given the flippant nature of this bug, it’s only really worth trying to replicate it for the fun of it, instead of for serious encounters.
You likely won’t get lucky, and will just get shot to pieces instead.
It doesn’t seem to matter how quickly you click to throw the Throwing Knives, it is purely down to chance. So you can keep trying, and I’m sure you’ll eventually stumble into this hilarious bug.
