Sea of Stars was a highlight in a year that’s going to go down as one of the best we’ve ever seen in gaming, with Sabotage Studio’s retro-styled RPG garnering widespread praise for everything from its story and combat to its art style and more. Understandably enough, fans of the RPG have been desperate to experience more of the game, and sure enough, Sabotage Studio is working on new content.
It’s been known for a while that Sea of Stars DLC is part of developer’s plans, and work on it is continuing to make progress. In a recently published tweet, Sabotage revealed that an internal summit held in November saw Sea of Stars DLC being pitched, and that it has now moved out of pre-production and entered full development.
“Work is going well with the mysterious and wacky DLC, which has officially graduated from pre-production,” the developer wrote.
Interestingly, Sabotage mentions that the vision for its next game was also pitched at its aforementioned November summit, but did not go into further detail. It’s safe to assume, however, that it’s going to be a while before we hear about the studio’s third project.
Sea of Stars is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Last month, Sabotage Studio announced that it had surpassed 4 million players across all platforms.
Back in November the team gathered for Sabobo Summit where the DLC for Sea of Stars was pitched, along with the vision for “Game 3″👀
