Ruth Langsford stunned her Loose Women co-stars on Monday after sharing a throwback snap from when she was 21 years old.

The presenter looked unrecognisable in the picture as the panel discussed whether they would go back and relive their youth.

Ruth admitted she wouldn’t want to be 21 again because, at that point in her career, she was “terrified”.

“It forms the person you are and the person you are becoming,” the former This Morning host shared.

“We kind of evolve dramatically and some not much…”

“Oh my god look at that,” Coleen Nolan interrupted as a photo of Ruth popped up on screen.

“Who is that?” she asked before Ruth replied: “I was a newsreader then look at me, 21, with a perm.”

She went on to confess: “No confidence, terrified of my own shadow really, so I have definitely grown in confidence.

“Not just about work, but about myself. I like myself and I feel I don’t have to justify myself to anybody.”

She added: “And I don’t really care if people like me or not. The people that I know are my friends and love me and I love them.”

Before the show, started, Ruth also made a swipe at Phillip Schofield when speaking to Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

During their link with the Loose Women panel, the former This Morning presenter cheerily said: “It’s nice to see you both!”

Fans were quick to pick up on Ruth’s tone and many took to social media to share their thoughts.

Ruth’s husband, Eamonn Holmes also took aim at Phillip during his GB News show.

He branded Holly Willoughby and Phillip “fake” during his rant and claimed the presenter didn’t “step down”, he was “sacked”.

“It is fakery, every day was fakery and you know, sometimes you can only judge people by their actions and you can only speak as you find,” he said.

“Some people find Philip Schofield the nicest person in the whole world. I personally didn’t, but I do believe speak as you find.”

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
