Romance Visual Novel Fuyukara, Kururu. Comes To PS4 And Switch This May

At this stage, the release will be limited to Japan only, with publisher Entergram having made no announcements regarding an international version.

A product listing made to Amazon Japan has revealed that romance visual novel Fuyukara, Kururu. from developer Silky’s Plus will be coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch on May 25 this year. At this stage, the release will be limited to Japan only, with publisher Entergram having made no announcements regarding an international version.

Two editions of Fuyukara, Kururu. will be available for each console at launch. The standard edition, which includes only the game and case, is priced at 8,228 yen (approximately $75 USD). The other, a limited edition, will include an SD illustration keychain and drama CD in addition to the base game, and is priced at 12,070 yen (approximately $115 USD).

The second entry in the Japanese-exclusive ~ruru series of visual novels, Fuyukara, Kururu. begins with the discovery of a gruesome murder and expands from there into a 19-hours-long mystery adventure involving immortal girls, a boarding school tucked far away from society, and, of course, all the romance of the previous ~ruru games.

Fuyukara, Kururu. will be the first visual novel by developer Silky’s Plus to arrive on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, as all the games in the studio’s back-catalog have remained PC exclusives since their launch. Fuyukara, Kururu. itself was first released on PC in September 2021, but its coming to consoles gives fans hope that other ~ruru titles will follow suit in the future.

For publisher Entergram, who specializes in the publishing of visual novels both to PC and consoles, Fuyukara, Kururu. will be the ninth release of the year, following shortly after the April release of Ever Maiden ~Daraku no Sono no Otome-tachi~ on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

To the chagrin of visual novel fans worldwide, none of Entergram’s titles have ever been released in English officially. While localization arrangements had been made at one point with US-based visual novel publisher Sol Press, these never materialized, and Sol Press has since been suspended by the California FTB for a failure to pay taxes. At this stage, it seems more likely than not that Fuyukara, Kururu. and other titles by Entergram will remain Japanese exclusives for some time to come.
