Respawned’, Plus Today’s Other Releases and Sales – TouchArcade

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 6th, 2024. It’s another one of those quiet Wednesdays, and yet we still have a few decent games worth considering. We’ve got summaries of all the games worth summarizing, and a healthy little Bin Bunch as well. After that, we do that little thing we always do and dig into the latest sales and expiring discounts for the day. Let’s do what we can with what we’ve got on hand!

New Releases

Berserk Boy ($20.00)

Man, this game looks cool. Clearly inspired by the Mega Man games, but the way the character dashes around the screen smashing up the enemies is a mechanic I would like to sink my teeth into. Your character has the ability to change into four different powered-up forms, each with their own abilities to make use of. Oh, and it has a Tee Lopes soundtrack. Yes, I’m sold.

Hex Gambit: Respawned ($14.99)

This is a game meant to be played with others, and it fortunately accommodates that with online and local multiplayer for up to four. It aims to make the often complex turn-based tactical into something accessible enough to pull out at a game night. I don’t know if it accomplishes that particular goal, but it is a pretty fun game. If you have some strategy-minded friends to play with, you’ll have a blast here.

Cat and Ghostly Road ($9.99)

A fairly brief but decent point-and-click style adventure game about a cat who travels to the world of ghosts and demons in order to save its master. The art is decent here for what it is, and I think the relatively easy puzzles will go down well for people who just want to enjoy the journey.

10 Seconds to Win! ($4.99)

A precision platformer with one hundred stages and one rule that you have to follow in all of them. You have ten seconds to get from the start to the goal in each level, no matter how many traps or hazards are in your way. That’s it. Not the worst use of a fiver if you’re into this kind of affair.

The Bin Bunch

Cube Stack Ultimate ($3.99)

Hellstuck: Rage With Your Friends ($6.99)

Diamond Hands: To The Moon ($6.99)

Emergency Call – The Attack Squad ($29.99)

Sales

(North American eShop, US Prices)

A cool little mix to check out today in the inbox. Capcom is running a bunch of sales; I’ve listed a number of them here but there are a lot more so check the eShop if there’s one you’re looking for that isn’t here. NISA is also doing a sale on The Legend of Heroes games, likely to coincide with the announcement of the Western release date for the next one. July 5th, by the way. News in the Sales section, that’s how we do it around here. The outbox has some fun games in it, but it’s small enough that I feel confident leaving it to you.

That’s all for today, friends. Tomorrow is Thursday, and that means plenty of new games to spend some cash on. More than ten games on the schedule already, including things like the Top Racer Collection and Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley. There will be summaries of all of them, plus whatever sales and major news items roll in over the course of the day. I’m not feeling really good today, which is why I ended up not doing my planned reviews. My health has just been rough since last October. I’m hoping I turn the corner soon. Have a wonderful Wednesday, and as always, thanks for reading!
