Redfall Launch Times And PC Required Specs Confirmed

Arkane has shared the release times for Redfall across the globe, letting us know just when exactly we’ll be able to dive into the vampire co-op shooter.

Preloading for Redfall kicked off earlier this week, meaning we can all download that 40-100GB of video game–depending on the platform–ahead of the game’s release May 2 next week. If you’re in the United States, you can expect to play the game on May 1 technically, 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. Across the pond, in the UK, it will be launching on the May 2 release date at 1 AM BST. Australia gets access to it at 10 AM AEST.

Arkane also released PC specs today, showing the minimum, recommended, and ultra specs you’ll need to be able to handle each mode, though the post doesn’t specify what resolution or frame rate target these settings align with. Here’s what you’ll need to run the game:

Minimum Specs

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 @ 2.80GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • GPU: AMD RX 580 / Nvidia GTX 1070 / 6GB VRAM
  • System RAM: 16GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Storage: 100GB SSD

Recommended Specs

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: AMD 5700 / Nvidia RTX 2080 / Intel Arc / 8GB VRAM
  • System RAM: 16GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Storage: 100GB SSD

Ultra Specs

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: AMD RX 6800 XT / Nvidia RTX 3080 / 10GB VRAM
  • System RAM: 32GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Storage: 100GB SSD

If you’re a stickler for a smooth frame rate, PC might also be the way to play it, as Redfall will be locked at 30 frames-per-second on Xbox at launch, with the 60fps performance mode coming as an update further down the line.

Redfall’s launch trailer is available to check out now too–watch it above. It gives us a trailer music version of Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun, bringing us closer to a world where just about every song in existence has a trailer music alternative.

You can take a visit to Redfall when it launches May 2, on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and you’ll be able to play it on Game Pass too.
