If you’re a Final Fantasy fan, there’s so much going on in the world of the games. Both for new and old games. Also, for newcomers to the series, now may be the best time to join the long-running franchise. Fresh off the heels of the successful Final Fantasy 7: Remake, Square Enix will continue the Clouds and company adventure in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth. The next chapter in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth teases quite a bit, such as minigames, boss battles, and more! It’ll have a lot of the same features as the first installment that dropped in 2020. If you plan on continuing your journey as a seasoned or new fan, we have all the details below for the next chapter.

More bosses, minigames, and boss battles will come in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth

In typical Square Enix fashion, we got a glimpse of gameplay from today’s State of Play. But it’s still quite a bit more than what we saw at Summer Games Fest. However, if you’ve played the last part, expect much of the same in terms of gameplay. Movement is behind the character, combat has all been reworked much like the 2020 game. We also get to see the many boss battles and confrontations with Sephiroth. So, if you’re ready to relive those moments again, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth will allow you to do so. The only bad news is that we’ll have to wait till February 29, 2024, to experience this game.

Additionally, if you haven’t played the last chapter of Final Fantasy 7: Remake, according to producer Yoshinori Kitase, you’ll be able to play the game as a stand-alone adventure. There will be a recap if you choose to go this way. But, to get the full immersion, you should still play the previous entry.

At the moment, it seems like it would be available on the PlayStation 5. But like Final Fantasy 16, it may be timed exclusive. PC players at least won’t feel left out when the RPG drops early next year.
