‘Ready Set StartUP’ launches on Prime Video

‘Ready Set StartUP’, a new business reality series from Pictures in Motion, has launched on Prime Video.

The new series brings 10 early-stage entrepreneurs with exciting business ideas to battle it out for a £100,000 in investment and robust business support, all aimed at turbocharging their startup journey. The show presents a riveting mix of challenges to test contestant’s skills and business acumen, all while refining their business idea along the way under the guidance of industry experts such as Alison Edgar MBE, also known as the Godmother of entrepreneurship, and Ying Tan a self-made entrepreneur that changed the world of mortgage in the UK.

The panel of judges is a powerhouse of successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, including Tom Blomfield, founder of Monzo, Eamonn Carey, former MD of Tech Stars, Angelika Burawska, COO of SFC Capital, and Ying Wang, founder of Intellium Advisory.  The series delves into the heart of entrepreneurship, offering a compelling blend of entertainment and education about the world of business.

“It’s about time for a fresh business format,” said Monzo’s Tom Blomfield. “Ready Set StartUP is far more relatable than current offerings. It’s exciting, entertaining, and fresh with so much to learn about the world of business.”

Founder of Pictures in Motion and executive producer Luis J Kelly, revealed his vision, “I wanted to create a TV format that people can enjoy watching while learning about the real aspects of starting a business.” To ensure the show was both educational and entertaining, Kelly enlisted Executive Producer and host Simon Atkins and Series Producer Lars Schwinges. Partnering with top venture capital firms like SFC Capital was integral to keep the format true to entrepreneurial values.

Host and executive producer of ‘Ready Set StartUP’ Simon Atkins says ‘This is a hugely exciting new series that highlights the steps and challenges required to launch a startup business, offering these ambitious young entrepreneurs the tools and guidance to make their businesses a thriving success. In the current, uncertain economic climate, it offers the contestants and viewers a true insight into the highs and lows of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
