Quixel Shows You How Realistic Environments Could Be in Unreal Engine 5

The future of gaming with Unreal Engine 5 looks unbelievable! Quixel has shared some in-engine footage from an Unreal Engine 5 demo, recreating various environment types from lush forests to creepy dungeons, to post-apocalyptic roads.

This is definitely a demo and not optimized enough for becoming a playable thing, but still, this is amazing how far developers can push the boundaries to make games closer to real life.

For crafting this beautiful demo, Quixel has benefited from its Megascans project as well. If you are a developer, you can use the Megascans for trees right now, though it’s still a work-in-progress feature.
