While much of the focus out of Ubisoft’s piratical multiplayer title Skull & Bones has been about May 28th’s Season 2 release and all of the endgame stuff it provides, the game is also once again offering something to those who aren’t at Kingpin level: a week-long look at the game.
From Thursday, May 30th, through Thursday, June 6th, the game will be completely free-to-play for everyone, with no limitations on content and progress carrying over should players like what they see enough to buy in. This promotion also appears to be available to anyone and not just new players, so perhaps those who do want to try out the aforementioned endgame updates can take advantage now.
We note here that this does continue the trend of the self-described AAAA game’s journey into the bargain bin, with the title getting discounted at specific retaliers three weeks after launch and Ubisoft putting it on sale at half off a little while later. If neither of those deals caught you, then perhaps “free” will.
Join the fun by participating in our Free Week from May 30th to June 6th!
