PS Plus Game Catalog Adding Dave The Diver And Animal Well

You know what time it is, y’all. PlayStation has announced the lineup of titles coming to its subscription service PS Plus and its various tiers later this month, and the most hotly contested “indie game” is leading the pack. That’s right folks, Dave The Diver is coming to the PS Plus Game Catalog, which will be available to subscribers at the Extra and Premium tiers.

Dave the Diver will be joined by the multiplayer dodgeball game Oddballers, Ubisoft’s The Crew 2, Construction Simulator, and Nour: Play With Your Food. All of these titles will be available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers (sorry Essential folks) beginning on April 16. Though it isn’t the biggest month for the service, which has been shifting to compete more directly with the likes of Xbox Game Pass, there’s still a handful of exciting titles in the bunch that I’m excited to get some time with, especially Nour.

PlayStation also gave a slight preview of what’s ahead. We already knew that Tales of Kenzera: Zau would be coming to the PS Plus Games Catalog day one when it launches on April 23. However, PlayStation did announce that Animal Well, the upcoming metroidvania shrouded in mystery, will be coming to PS Plus when it launches on May 9. The game’s developer Billy Basso has announced his intent to hide secrets in the game that he hopes will take years to uncover, if they ever come to light.

Premium subscribers have access to an additional library of classic PlayStation games going as far back as the original PS1. The single biggest addition to that catalog of games in April is Medievil for the PlayStation. Here’s the entirety of what’s coming to PS Plus and as a reminder, all of these games will drop on April 16 except for Animal Well and Tales of Kenzera: Zau.

What games are you most excited to check out on PS Plus this month? I’m drowning in great games at the moment but I can’t possibly say no to another few quality metroidvanias.
