Tandemaus’ Frequent Habitats

Based on the image above, Tandemaus can be found in quite a few different areas across the map of Paldea. Even though they are rarely seen, they can be spotted just outside towns and cities. Out of all these locations, we have found Tandemaus the most outside the city of Porto Marinada, as well as near the Pokemon League just outside Mesagoza.

A great way to increase your probability of running into Tandemaus is by eating or creating a sandwich that boosts your Normal-Type Encounter Power. Since this Pokemon has a relatively low spawn rate, this will make your search much faster if you want to get the mouse Pokemon as soon as possible. We are now going to go over the best locations to find Tandemaus, so you don’t have to search all over the vast map of Paldea.

Tandemaus Near Pokemon League

The first suggested location to find Tandemaus is in the grassy area just outside the Pokemon League. It can be found anywhere in this area nearby to the Pokemon Center, and should be easy to spot. They will be incredibly low in level, so we suggest going to this location if you don’t have higher-level Pokemon. Here is how you can reach this area and catch your first Tandemaus.

  • Start by flying to the Pokemon League Pokemon Center. If you haven’t unlocked this yet, you can instead fly to either the Uva Academy fast travel spot, or Mesagoza (West) Pokemon Center.
  • When you arrive, you can search the whole grassy path leading up to the Pokemon League. You should be able to find quite a few Tandemaus in the area.
  • You can approach it directly or throw a Poke Ball to startle it. They will not run away, and they usually stay in the same spot.
  • These Tandemaus will be around Level 8 to Level 9, although a few higher-level Tandemaus have also been spotted, usually around Level 13. You should only need to use a regular Poke Ball to catch these.

Tandemaus Near Porto Marinada

The next location where Tandemaus can frequently be found is near the city of Porto Marinada. They will especially be found around the Lighthouse just outside the city, where a lot of other rare Pokemon are located, including Rotom. The Tandemaus here will be much higher in level than the ones in the Pokemon League.

  • First, fly to the Porto Marinada Lighthouse fast travel spot. You can also fly to the Porto Marinada Pokemon Center and head directly west to reach the lighthouse.
  • When you arrive, there should be quite a few Tandemaus down the path towards the city of Porto Marinada. Just head east on the map and you should be able to find one.
  • Once again, you can approach it directly or throw a Poke Ball to catch its attention.
  • These Tandemaus will be around Level 26 to Level 28, so they will be much closer to evolving into Maushold than the ones found near the Pokemon League. You should be able to catch them with either a regular Poke Ball or a Great Ball.
