Orphan Black: Echoes, Shoresy season 3, and more new TV this week

How’s that House of the Dragon episode sitting with us all, huh? Things ended on a tense note there, and set up what should be a pretty compelling (if tragic) war.

Still, it’s not the only new TV in town, let alone the only thing to watch on Sundays this summer. This week sees the premiere of Orphan Black: Echoes, the spinoff of Orphan Black. This one won’t be bringing Tatiana Maslany back (yet) to play, well, any of the characters she played on the original show. But it does introduce Krysten Ritter as the woman at the center of a web of conspiracy and (one could imagine) cloning.

Here’s all the big TV premieres and finales this week.

New shows on Netflix

Agents of Mystery

Genre: Reality show
Release date: June 18
Showrunner/creator: Jung Jong-yeon
Cast: Lee Yong-jin, John Park, Lee Eun-ji, Lee Hye-ri, Kim Do-hoon, and Karina

Six “agents of mystery” (popular Korean comedians, singers, and more) are tasked with solving a paranormal mystery within six hours. Like with most reality shows, they’ll have to think quickly and work together; also like with most reality shows, they’ll get into some hijinks as they try to riddle their way through.

New shows on Hulu

Shoresy

Genre: Hockey comedy
Release date: June 21, with all episodes
Showrunner/creator: Jared Keeso
Cast: Jared Keeso, Tasya Teles, Harlan Blayne, and more

The Letterkenny spinoff returns, with Shoresy (Jared Keeso) and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs bringing their A game to the National Senior Tournament. They’ll be facing off with teams from across Canada (so it’s an actual fierce competition, eh?).

New shows on AMC Plus

Orphan Black: Echoes

Genre: Clone sci-fi
Release date: June 23, with one episode
Showrunner/creator: Anna Fishko
Cast: Krysten Ritter, Amanda Fix, Keeley Hawes, and more

Lucy (Krysten Ritter) is just a regular woman trying to live her life — at least, she thinks she is. Then she gets attacked, and sets out to figure out exactly what’s so important from the memories she’s missing. Ultimately that journey leads her… to herself? As in, her younger self, walking around the present day, in a way Lucy can’t explain to either of them.
