One Piece Episode 1048 is titled “For the Future! The episode starts with a battle between Sanji and Zoro, and Kawamatsu and Hyogoro block the floor’s entrance, so they don’t get interrupted. On the other hand, Franky defeats Sasaki, so more enemies come to attack him, but a group of Heart Pirates arrive in Franky’s support. The scene cuts to the second floor, where we see Otama and the others are still on a run while Usopp falls on the enemy by mistake. Meanwhile, a battle between Big Mon vs. Law and Kidd is also going on the same floor. She uses her Supreme King Haki attack, which knocks down other pirates.
Brook and Robin are escaping as well, and they inform Jimbei about the fire, who is currently on the fourth floor. Kaido and Yamato, who are on the rooftop, are arguing about Luffy’s return; where Kaido claims he won’t come back, but Yamato says that he will. Inuarashi manages to overpower Jack and throws him out of the window, after which he changes into his Sulong form. Raizo and Fukurokuju are still battling, and Fukurokuju berates him for following Mononosuke, and Raizo replies by saying that everyone will see him rise soon.
At the end of the episode, we witness Mononosuke in his dragon form, and everyone confuses him with Kaido, while Luffy says he is Mononosuke. Luffy is finally ready to go to Onigashima with him.
