Omori Manga to Begin Running in Japan

According to the Omori social media account, a manga adaptation of the indie RPGMaker adventure game by OMOCAT will begin running in Monthly Afternoon, Kodansha’s seinen Japanese magazine. The manga will be aimed towards both longtime fans of the game as well as those new to the story. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The illustrations for the new Omori manga will be drawn by the artist Nui Konoito. A teaser visual has been shared along with the announcement of the manga’s serialization. The illustration is fully in black and white and features the protagonist Omori from the dream world, mirrored by his real world counterpart Sunny.

An established start date for the manga’s serialization has yet to be announced. Additionally, no word of overseas localization has been officially confirmed just yet.

This announcement comes about three years after Omori’s initial release date. The story of the game follows the silent Omori as he explores a dream world with his friends Aubrey, Kel, Hero, Basil, and his older sister Mari. Together, they work as a party to confront their fears and uncover an uncomfortable truth.

Omori is available to play on the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
