Free-to-play Nintendo Switch game Ninjala will be launching an Attack On Titan collaboration on March 15 in commemoration of the game reaching 10 million downloads last week. Ninjala has also collaborated with popular anime like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Tokyo Revengers in the past.
Although more details about the crossover will be coming later, fans can look forward to Titan-themed outfits, weapons, and various other items. In addition to the crossover, the game will also offer 1,000 free Jala as a login bonus from March 8 to April 26, and will hold a six-hour tournament to celebrate the downloads. The 10 Million Download Cup tournament will begin at 6 pm EST on March 11 and end at midnight PST on March 12.
GungHo Online Entertainment’s Ninjala gained quick popularity after it launched in June 2020, and its 12th season kicked off in January of this year. Ninjala is a free-to-play online multiplayer game that supports up to eight players during multiplayer competitive play, either local or online. Combining the unusual pairing of ninjas and chewing gum, players can use Ninja-Gum to blow bubbles that can be used as weapons to defeat foes, or to craft weapons and dash across stages. In the Competitive Player mode, which is a Battle Royale-style match, players from all over the world compete to be crowned the best ninja. The player with the most points at the end of the match is declared the winner.
If battling alone doesn’t seem fun, the game also hosts cooperative play. Players can take part in 4-on-4 team battles where the premise is the same: the team with the most points wins at the end of the match. Ninjala also contains a creative aspect. Character costumes and accessories from a wide variety of fashion brands are available, so players get to make their ninja their own. Styles can be mixed and matched to create something unique, and on March 15, the costume repertoire will expand as the Attack on Titan swag arrives.
Additionally, a Ninjala anime directed by Mamoru Kanbe premiered on TV Tokyo in January 2022. Currently, 55 episodes have been released. Much like the game, the anime is continuing, so fans can get their fair share of ninjas in either format.
