Nicole Demara trust event and best answers in Zenless Zone Zero

In Zenless Zone Zero, you get Nicole for free, so you’ll definitely want to raise your relationship with her to take advantage of some unique perks. While talking to Nicole every day is a good way to raise her trust, specific answers will net you trust faster.

Increasing trust will give you Polychromes, as well as skill enhancement material, some bonuses in Hollows, and — most importantly — the ability to set that character as your background on the menu screen.

Below, we list the best answers to pick when talking to Nicole in her trust events and trust invites.

Nicole trust events best answers in Zenless Zone Zero

If you see Nicole’s portrait on the navigation screen, it means she’s waiting in the area for a potential trust event. Approaching her and talking to her when she has grey ellipses over her head will net you some trust, though you’ll need to be careful — replying with the wrong answers may decrease your trust.

Below we list out Nicole’s possible locations and the best answers to reply to gain trust. Note that not every prompt will give trust, even if you pick a seemingly favored answer, so we only list the answers that will raise your trust.

This is still missing a few trust events, as we’re still working through solving them all. (It’s a lot of trial and error with a daily limit, so it’s taking us a bit.) We’ll update this guide with more trust event answers as we find them.

141 Convenience (Sixth Street)

Standing in front of the convenience store, Nicole will be mumbling about competition opening up. She’ll say, “What a coincidence, running into you like this. It seems we really do have a strong connection~” to which you will need to reply “It’s indeed fate,” for a trust increase.

Coff Cafe (Sixth Street)

Nicole will only appear after you go in and out of Coff Cafe. Once you do, she’ll talk about the Cunning Hares’ success. The options here are a little iffy, as the first choice can either be “Congratulations!” or “Don’t you find that suspicious?” Pick “Congratulations!” for a significant trust increase. If that’s not an option, pick the second choice, “I hired someone to write those positive reviews,” for a regular trust increase.

Newsstand (Sixth Street)

Interact with the newsstand and then leave for Nicole to appear. She’ll show up, saying, “Have you heard the word on the street…?” to which you need to reply with either “I’ve heard,” or “Not yet…” to get a trust increase when the event ends. If you pick “When are you gonna pay me back?” you will get a trust decrease.

Coff Cafe (Sixth Street)

This is another event that you’ll need to go in and out of the cafe for. Once you do, Nicole will talk about the Hares not having much money. The choices you make don’t matter, but once you offer to give her money, she’ll say, “Well, consider yourself lucky it was just us messing around. Anyone else might’ve swiped all the Dennies from your pocket~” Reply with “I have faith in you,” to get a significant trust increase.

Waterfall Soup (Sixth Street)

You’ll need to interact with Waterfall Soup and then leave the shop in order for Nicole to appear during this event. Once you do, she’ll approach you to ask if you want to help her out with something. She’ll say, “I’ll have the Black Bowl Mushrooms Noodles, minus the mushrooms~” and you can reply with “I’ll go right now,” for a trust increase.

Nicole Trust Invite best answers in Zenless Zone Zero

If you DM Nicole, you can meet up with her at one of three locations on Sixth Street. Doing this will give you trust increases no matter what at the end, but some specific answers will net you extra points.

‘Make a Fortune from Gacha!’ (Box Galaxy) best answers

Nicole will ask you which of the two gacha machines she should pull on. When prompted, tell her, “The one on the left,” for a significant trust increase. The rest of your answers do not matter, and you’ll get another trust increase at the end.

You can also get a regular trust increase if you tell her “I’m having a hard time making a choice,” and then select, “Heads for which side?” when she asks about the coin flip, but just telling her to use the machine on the left gives more trust.

‘How to Get Good Luck’ (Coff Cafe) best answers

None of your replies here matter until Nicole asks, “Feeding Mr. Panda should work the same way, right?” in which you should reply “You might be right,” for a trust increase.

Your trust will also increase at the end no matter what answer you select.

‘Vending machines are a gem’ (vending machine) best answers

Based on our testing, none of the answers here have any impact on the trust you increase. No matter what you pick, you’ll get a regular trust increase at the end of the conversation. Because of this, we recommend picking one of the other two trust invite events instead of this one to gain more trust.
