Next Week’s Free Epic Games Store Title Revealed

Another week and another game has been announced for the Epic Games Store weekly giveaway, this time it’s Star Wars Squadrons. While in the past, two games have been available, only one game will be available next week barring a surprise announcement. Gamers can add Star Wars Squadrons to their Epic Game Store library from November 24th to December 1st.

Star Wars Squadrons was released on October 4th, 2020 for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Players hop into iconic Star Wars fighters as both the Rebel Alliance Vanguard Squadron and the Imperial Titan Squadron in alternating missions throughout the single-player campaign. Set after Return of the Jedi and the Rogue Squadron games, the Rebels are attempting to complete the mysterious Project: Starhawk while the Empire is trying to stop it.

RELATED: Epic Games Store Reveals Next Two Free GamesOur review of Star Wars Squadrons was favorable, giving the title an 8 out of 10, with most praise being directed at the gameplay. The short campaign and a lack of multiplayer options hindered our reviewers’ enjoyment, but it was still seen as a worthy endeavor for Star Wars fans. A sequel is not out of the question from EA. Star Wars Squadrons is also fully playable in VR with compatible headsets.

This current week’s offerings, Evil Dead: The Game and Dark Deity are still available for gamers to grab from the Epic Games Store. Both games will be available until November 24th, and users do not have to download them and take up precious storage space on their computers. Just navigate to each game’s store and click the “Get” button to add them to the library. Once added, Epic Games Store free titles will remain accessible as unlike other similar services, there is no need to maintain a subscription.

In a surprise move this week, gamers can also claim a cosmetics pack for the wrestling battle royal Rumbleverse. The Epic Cheerleader Pack includes the Epic Cheerleader cosmetic, black-themed title card, background, and border while also providing a 120-minute Fame Booster. Rumbleverse is available free to play through the Epic Games Store. At the moment, the battle royal title remains the only one of its kind where users can execute a picture-perfect psychotic and vicious powerbomb off of the top of a skyscraper.

As with Evil Dead: The Game and Dark Deity, the Rumbleverse Epic Cheerleader pack will be available to access until November 24th. If any additional title is offered in conjunction with Star Wars Squadrons, it will be a pleasant surprise.
