New regions, true ending, and more

While Hades 2 Early Access is already brimming with content, Supergiant Games is preparing to unleash a wave of new features that will surely ignite your excitement. So, if you’re eager to know what’s on the horizon, here’s everything you need to know about Hades 2’s roadmap.

Hades 2 roadmap explained

According to the in-game Development Roadmap, the next major update for Hades 2 will be released a few months after its “initial launch.” Supergiant Games provided some insight into several upcoming features, including the following content:

  • New regions
  • Crossroads update
  • New Main Weapon and Weapon Aspects
  • New characters
  • True ending
  • New music and artwork
  • Sava data transfer for v1.0

Prepare to dive deeper into the world of Hades with additional areas expected to arrive later this year. These new locales will not only introduce more characters, but also bring forth formidable enemies. As the Hades series is deeply rooted in Greek mythology, these locations are likely to be inspired by more fascinating tales, just like Olympus and the Underworld.

The next update also aims to provide more features in the Crossroads, Melinoë’s home base. Hades 2’s Development Update indicates it will have “various cosmetic embellishments” to unlock, similar to the original’s House of Hades upgrades.

For those still on the hunt for the perfect weapon, there’s good news. A devastating new Main Weapon is on its way. While the specifics are yet to be revealed, it’s expected to offer a unique playstyle, whether it’s designed for close-range combat or long-distance attacks. In the meantime, if you’re looking to master Hades 2’s current arsenal, be sure to check out our guide on all weapons.

Players who have wrapped up Hades 2’s Early Access can look forward to its true ending. Though, the official conclusion likely won’t be available until v1.0. Since it’s still in its beginning stages, v1.0 has yet to have an official release date. We do at least know that the game will remain in Early Access until the end of 2024.

Fortunately, Supergiant Games is working on save data transfers. That means everything you’ve done in Early Access will hopefully transfer to the final version.
