New Last Of Us TV Show Footage Leaks

New video clips capturing the production of HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation have been published by eagle-eyed fans. Eurogamer was the first to notice and scoop up these closer looks at the show–offering the best looks yet at protagonists Joel and Ellie.

These new clips aren’t particularly long, and so not incredibly insightful, but they do show FEDRA’s role in at least one episode–or suggest a greater presence to come. In the games, the Federal Disaster Response Agency is one of the last remnants of the pre-outbreak United States government, and among the roving survivors you play as in the games, considered a fascist faction. In the clips below, you’ll see (from a very far away vantage point) FEDRA forces filmed in downtown Calgary moving through the city’s streets–and not exactly welcomed by the locals. Below that is actor Jeffrey Pierce (Bosch) discussing the importance of FEDRA with his character Perry, who is new to the franchise’s lore in this series.

Images of the show first started officially popping up online back in September 2021. (And also, unofficially, as early as July 2021.) It’s just one of the many TV shows and films in the works based on Sony properties. In fact, Sony has at least 10 of these projects in the works, one of which is a Twisted Metal TV show starring Anthony Mackie. Elsewhere among Sony’s franchises, the film adaptation of the 2020 Sony video game Ghost of Tsushima hired screenwriter Takashi Doscher (Only, Hear Us) in April to begin work on the script.

Series writer Craig Mazin has told fans that the show will follow the story of the game, but has also promised that it won’t just be a shot-for-shot retelling. Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal plays Joel, and Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey portrays Ellie. According to IMDb, it’s unknown who is playing Sam and Henry, who were revealed in the last footage leak in March.
