Netflix’s Geeked Week Goes Behind The Scenes Of Action-Packed Interceptor

0

As part of Netflix Geeked Week, the streaming service has released a new behind-the-scenes clip for the recently released action flick, Interceptor. Including stars Elsa Pataky and stunt coordinators, the featurette shows how some of the film’s many stunts were pulled off.

In the film, Pataky portrays Captain J.J. Collins, the “last officer on a remote missile defense base wag[ing] the battle of her life against terrorists aiming 16 stolen nuclear weapons at the US.” Pataky stars opposite Luke Bracey as “the charismatic yet crooked Alexander Kessel, a former US military intelligence officer intent on carrying out an unthinkable plan.” Interceptor is co-written and directed by Matthew Reilly in his film debut. Reilly is best known as a novelist and short story author.

“We knew very early on that the film would live and die on the quality of its fights,” says producer and writer Stuart Beattie in the clip. “That all depends on the actor, how much she can be taught, how much she can learn, how much she can process, and how much she can deliver. Fortunately, our actor is Elsa Pataky.”

Interceptor, which just came out on June 3, has received a warm reception among critics. Decider, for example, calls the movie “Die Hard on a nuclear-missile interceptor base.”
