Netflix’s official listing for the show describes its premise in brief: “A conflicted yet courageous Dragon Knight must use the power of the dragon within to stop a deadly demon in this epic fantasy based on the online game.” Across two seasons and 16 episodes, the show has been warmly received by critics with a 75% approval rating on Metacritic from 12 reviews. The website’s critics consensus reads: “While knowledge of the game isn’t necessary, it might have been nice if Dota: Dragon’s Blood had translated more of its narrative prowess to the small screen.”

The show features the voices of Yuri Lowenthal, Lara Pulver, Tony Todd, and Troy Baker.
