Hades, a rogue-like developed by Supergiant in 2020, announces its release for iOS as part of a Netflix subscription at the end of this month.
Netflix continues to add titles to its mobile gaming service, and this time it has acquired one of the most important titles of 2020, winning game of the year at the New York Game Awards, and many publications including IGN, Polygon, and Destructoid called it the best game that year. We have even argued that Hades may be the Best Game Ever.
Hades will arrive on March 19, 2024 exclusively for iOS. For now, pre-registration is already available, and some improvements have been announced for this mobile version, such as support for 60 fps, customizable touch controls, redesigned menus and interfaces, achievements, and offline play. Meanwhile, a sequel to Hades is in preparation: Hades II. The sequel is still expected to be released into Early Access in the second quarter (April to June) of 2024 on Steam, with the full release version 1.0, appearing on consoles as well once Early Access is completed.
If you have never played a game through Netflix before, follow these instructions which are very simple. All you have to do is download the app, sign in with a valid Netflix account, and you’re ready to go.
Initially, as mentioned earlier, the game will only be available for iOS devices, so Android users will have to wait a little longer to help Zagreus in his quest for freedom. If you’re playing the regular version of the game, make sure to check out our Hades Beginner Guide.
