My Hero Ultra Rumble is coming west

Publisher and developer Bandai Namco announced a western release for My Hero Ultra Rumble, their new 24-player battle royale game.

My Hero Ultra Rumble is coming west across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Sign-ups for a PS4 closed beta are available on the game’s official site.

The strengths of each character are completely different depending on their “quirk.” Use your strengths to your advantage and compensate for your weaknesses to survive the fierce battle.

By collecting the skill cards scattered throughout the stage, you can enhance your “unique” skills by an order of magnitude. It’s up to you to decide which “unique” moves you want to develop.

This title is based on the “My Hero Academia” manga and anime series. In this game, you control familiar characters such as Izuhisa Midoriya, Katsumi Bakugo, and Megumi Shikaragi, and form teams of three to compete in a battle royale where a total of eight teams compete to win. Each character fights by making full use of his or her own special ability, or “quirk,” which can be upgraded by using “quirk skill cards” scattered throughout the field.

In addition, by behaving in a “typical” manner, such as rescuing heroes and threatening enemies, players will be able to obtain powerful items that will determine whether they win or lose the battle.
